- Absolutely not the case. Chiropractic is your choice. But similar to brushing your teeth, exercising, eating proper foods and drinking plenty of fresh water, 95% of our practice members see the benefit in regular wellness chiropractic care. - Why should I get a newborn adjusted?
- The first insult to your child's nervous system comes from childbirth. Even the most natural childbirth is a traumatic process to babies developing nervous system and spine. - Can I adjust myself?
- Absolutely not! Some people can make their joints "pop" but they are increasing the damage to the ligaments and muscles around the joint that is actually "stuck". Chiropractic adjustments are highly specific to correct spinal subluxations. Even you doctor of chiropractic must seek the expert help of a colleague on a regular basis to correct their subluxations.
- Am I fixed after one adjustment Doc?
- Although the chiropractic adjustment may provide and immense amount a relief after the first visit; the subluxation has been present usually on an average of 15 years. Therefore, it is very unlikely that one adjustment will correct a problem that has been persistent for such a long time. Similar to getting braces for your teeth - spinal correction is an involved process. Proper exercise, nutrition, sleep and positive mental attitude, are a winning combination with the adjustment, which will increase the rate of healing and in turn the frequency of visits to our office.
- If I have osteoporosis can I still get adjusted?
- Yes! When putting together a care plan your doctor of chiropractic will choose the most appropriate techniques that suit your age, size and spinal characteristics.
